- Be sure to completely detangle the hair during the shampoo or conditioner stage, while it is soaking and saturated with the mousse or conditioner. Use a wide-toothed comb or, if you prefer, a paddle brush. Only after detangling should you carry out the final rinse.
- While shampooing, keep hair in an even downward alignment as you lather. If you don't do this (by bunching them, rubbing them, scrunching them vigorously, etc.), you risk tangling them.
